Studying and preparing
tea together.

I create experiences for beginners, people who want to deepen their practice and groups interested in tea through culture, the senses, art and hospitality.

Each encounter is shaped around its audience, space and available time. It may be a talk, a tasting, a practical workshop or a series of meetings.

Paths and formats

One session
or a series.

Duration, content and practical work are defined according to the space, the group’s knowledge and the purpose of the enquiry.

When there is no calendar yet, contact me to learn about the proposal and when the next cup will be served.

Practical session

Gong Fu Cha: technique and hospitality

Available for groups

An introduction to preparing tea through successive infusions. We observe the leaf, utensils, the relationship between water and time and how tea changes from one infusion to the next. The practice is presented in its cultural context, with respect for the tradition and without turning it into a universal rule.

Creative laboratory

Tea, colour and natural pigments

Available for groups

Tea leaves marks beyond the cup. In this workshop, the infusion becomes material for making and recording. We observe colour, concentration, oxidation and the passage of time through experiments with paper, textiles and natural pigments. A meeting between tea, art and matter.

Cultural talk

Tea, territory and trade

Project pillars

Four ways
of looking at tea.

The project begins with four ways of looking at tea. They are not separate courses or compulsory stages. They are subjects that return in classes, journeys, writing and around the table.

01

Tea as a drink and ritual

Ritual begins when we pay attention to what we are doing. It may be present in the cup we choose, the water we heat, the time we give the leaf or the way we welcome someone to the table.

02

Tea as art

Colour, writing, photography, table composition, textiles and natural pigments.

03

Tea as culture

Territories, routes, labour, hospitality, history and people.

04

Tea as presence

Preparation asks us to notice what we are doing: the amount of leaf, the water temperature, time and the changes from one infusion to the next. It is a simple practice of observation, without therapeutic or spiritual promises.

Tea and the elements of nature

Before the
cup.

I like to look at a cup and recognise four very simple elements within it.

This is also a reminder that tea does not begin in our kitchen. Before the cup came soil, climate, labour, knowledge and time.

Earth

Earth is present in the place where the plant grows.

Water

Water receives the leaf and carries what we taste.

Fire

Fire transforms the leaf during processing and heats the water for preparation.

Air

Air participates in growth, withering, oxidation and drying.

For curators, producers and organisations

Let’s shape
your proposal.

In your message, include who will take part, the city, expected date, duration and conditions of the space. This helps me understand the enquiry, suggest the most suitable format and prepare a proposal.
